Terms of Service

Last updated 10 July 2026. These terms govern your use of entracte, a cookieless developer sponsorship service operated by Mohamed Benfriha (“entracte”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, installing entracte, or otherwise using the service, you agree to them.

1. The service

entracte serves one cookieless sponsor line — or, at the earner’s choice, a motivational quote or a developer-news headline — on developer surfaces (terminal status line, editor, opencode, web widget). Advertisers pay a fixed price per 1,000 valid views; earners keep a revenue share. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, and we don’t guarantee that any placement is filled, that any particular earning is reached, or that the service is uninterrupted or error-free.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. One person or entity, one account, unless we agree otherwise. You must be able to form a binding contract and comply with applicable law. We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts as described in these terms.

3. Earners (publishers)

When you run entracte on your surfaces, you earn a revenue share (shown in your dashboard) of what advertisers actually pay for valid impressions attributed to you. Earnings accrue as AI credits by default, with a cash-out option above the stated threshold; the underlying ledger is in euros.

Earnings vest only from Valid Activity (section 5). If you choose the “motivation” (quotes) or “news” content mode, no sponsor is shown and no earnings accrue — that is the honest trade, and it’s your call. We may set, change, and cap rates and payout thresholds, and we make no guarantee as to the amount you will earn.

4. Advertisers

You pay the published fixed price per 1,000 valid views for impressions actually delivered. You are responsible for your creative and destination: it must be lawful, truthful, non-deceptive, malware-free, and must not infringe others’ rights. We may review, reject, or remove any campaign or creative at any time. Except for impressions we determine to be invalid (which are not billed or are refunded/credited), amounts paid for delivered valid impressions are non-refundable.

5. Invalid activity & anti-fraud

Valid Activity means genuine impressions and clicks from real developers using the service normally. Invalid Activity means anything that inflates, fakes, or manipulates impressions, clicks, or earnings, including without limitation: automated, bot, or scripted traffic; click farms or paid-to-click schemes; clicking your own or coordinated sponsors; running prompts, sessions, or agents for the purpose of generating impressions; artificial or incentivized traffic; creating or coordinating multiple accounts; and interfering with, or attempting to circumvent, our measurement or fraud-detection systems.

Invalid Activity creates no valid claim to any credit, earning, or payment. We use automated and manual review to detect it.

Where we reasonably determine that Invalid Activity or a breach of these terms has occurred, we may, proportionately and as appropriate: place earnings on hold and delay a payout while we investigate; suspend or limit an account; withhold, reverse, adjust, or cancel credits or earnings we reasonably attribute to the Invalid Activity, including after they were credited; recover amounts already paid that arose from it; and, for serious or repeated cases, terminate the account.

We will act in good faith and keep our measures proportionate. You may contest any determination by contacting us (section 12); we will review the evidence in good faith. Nothing here limits your mandatory rights under applicable consumer law.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use entracte to break the law, infringe rights, distribute malware, harass, scrape or overload the service, reverse-engineer or bypass technical controls, or resell/sublicense access. We may suspend or terminate for violations.

7. Intellectual property & licence

The entracte software is source-available under the PolyForm Noncommercial licence — free to read, study, and use non-commercially; commercial use requires a separate licence from us. The “entracte” name and marks are ours; these terms grant you no rights to them beyond using the service as intended.

8. Privacy

entracte is cookieless and RGPD-native: no cookies, no tracking identifiers, EU-hosted, and we never read your code. See the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that content, sponsors, quotes, or news headlines are accurate, current, or suitable for any purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence).

11. Term, termination & changes

You may stop using entracte at any time (earners: uninstall; npx entracte --uninstall). We may suspend or terminate access as described above or where required by law. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date, and continued use after they take effect is acceptance. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. sections 5, 9–10) survive termination.

12. Governing law, disputes & contact

These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent courts under applicable law; if you are a consumer, you may also use the EU online dispute resolution platform. Questions or a fraud determination to contest: hello@entracte.ai.

These terms are provided in English; a French translation may be made available. In case of conflict, the version designated as authoritative at the top of this page governs.
